From the first site visit, to the installation of the finished glass, I am personally involved in every aspect of a Leadline commission, whatever the size. There are many stages in making a stained glass window and clients are welcome to visit the studio at any time to see how their project is taking shape.
When the colours have been selected, each shape is individually cut by hand, acid-etched if necessary, and sometimes hand-painted details are added and fired in a kiln. The pieces are then assembled together with lead cames, soldered, weatherproofed and polished. All Leadline panels are hand crafted from the finest quality materials using traditional techniques which have been favoured by stained glass artists since medieval times. There are no shortcuts or gimmicks, just genuine craftsmanship which will last generations.
